SISTERS WORLDWIDE

PROJECTS FOR Haiti

In the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on Tues. Jan. 12, we as members of the Family of Holy Cross unite in prayer for the safety of all. This earthquake has had a ripple effect on communities across the globe.  The Sisters of Holy Cross have 47 Sisters in Haiti, four of whom are from the United States: Sr. Aline Antil, Diane Villeneuve, Doreen Cloutier from New Bedford, Mass., and Sally Anne Howe from St. Albans, Vt. We are happy to say that all  our sisters are safe, though surrounded by much sorrow and turmoil.

At this time, what is most important are our prayers and compassion for all who are suffering.  It is prayer that will inspire and motivate us to help the victims of this earthquake as best as we can.

The Sisters of Holy Cross have two projects in motion for Haiti:

1 - Collecting funds: to assist the people of Haiti.  100%of all monies collected will go directly to our Sisters whose yard is now home to 300 displaced people.

To make a gift… Checks can be made payable to Sisters of Holy Cross/Haiti Relief

Mail to:
Sr. Pauline Labrie, CSC
377 Island Pond Rd.
Manchester, NH 03100

2-Tents for Haiti: Sr. Claire Daneau, csc who was a missionary in Haiti for 36  years and she opened an orphanage.  She sees a great need for tents because of  the rainy season that will begin very soon! Again 100% of money donated will be for the purchase of Tents

Checks can be made payable to Sisters of Holy Cross/Haiti Tents

Mail to:
Sr. Claire Daneau, CSC
